Writer, artist and photographer Roland Hagenberg grew up in Vienna, Austria. He currently lives in Tokyo and Kyoto. His essays, travel reports and interviews are published in international publications. Roland initiated “Raiding Project” – to build experimental guesthouses with Japanese architects at Franz Liszt’s birthplace in Austria. His theater play “Jetlag” premiered at Rationaltheater in Munich 2018 and is scheduled for Basel in 2022. Upcoming books: “Crosby Street” and “Bedside Poems”.
